For those doing Spa, we've got the Friday night between Spa and Le Mans free. Anyone fancy a night out in Paris seeing as it's on the way??

Happy to go with the flow, not had chance to think much about it. Need somewhere with suitable parking of course...

You guys with your precious cars are causing a few problems. Hotels with secure parking in Paris are a bit hard to come by but I've found one.
Mercure Paris Tour Eiffel Grenelle - £135 for a twin room. Pretty central and has an underground car park. Says its got 77 rooms and 35 parking spaces. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if we can reserve parking. Unless anyone can find a better option?

That's 3 twin rooms booked for Friday night in Paris. I'm presuming it'll be 5 of us - Graham, Scott, Stu, Ali, Me. Any more?
I spoke to the hotel this morning. You can't reserve spaces in their garage but it's supposedly never full.

The ones traveling through Holland please mind, recently section control was introduced on the A2 from Amsterdam to Urtecht and on the A4 from Amsterdam to Den Haag.
I don't know if Dutch tickets (also known as flexible highway tax) will reach as far as Scottland, but I'm sure you'd rather spend that money on fuel or in the bar. :cheers

Dom

Are you joining us in Paris? We've got a spare bed if you want it? I think we've also got a spare bed for the 2 nights at Spa unless Ali's filled it.

Is section control just speed cameras?

Cheers

thanx for the offer. Heading off to the ring after Franchorchamps. I might be tempted to do a few laps on the friday afternoon.
Quite a ride to Le Mans though on busy saturday.

section control is where your average will be calculated over a sertain distance. Unless you stop for fuel or so in that section, you're pretty much obliged to maintain within limit.
Or unless you don't care at all with fake licence plates. :damnfunny
