Bob, same as here, Rob E - no imagination I know (but I was hoping the avatar made up for that) and I haven't posted much but did find the site useful when I was looking for a VX.

Jon, me neither, but I went there slightly nostalgically when my car came back. I was going to post some praise for the bodyshop down south that saved my car from being a write-off but discovered a thread that started with some kid posting about road-racing a Z4 and ended up with the person I pmed you about before, quitting the site. Here's the URL, but it's pretty tedious.

and there's now

- hoist by her own petard maybe, but there seem to be some strange guys on that site these days.

Absolute Farce that thread.

It's just a complete waste of time reading it. I started to reply to stuff in the Z4 racing one, but gave up after a while as people are just on a windup mission and others are taking it far too seriously.

Yeah Erica's VX has some bubbling coming up on both doors and small bits chipping off where the bumper lines are.

I can recomend a paint shop that knows what they are doing - unfortunately they are in Milton Keynes - the nearest place my insurance company could find someone prepared to fix my car - including the supposed Vauxhall dealer in Glasgow, a certain Mr A. Clark.

More seriously, the guy in Milton Keynes knew exactly what needed to be done to fix the paint bubbling problem. They can strip off the GRP beneath the problem areas and then replace with new resin and repaint. However, it was going to cost about £1250, which I have higher priorities for at the moment. In the end, I think someone took pity on me and did some touching up on the doors while doing a great job on the rear clam that the third party's insurance was covering.
