MMC Night

Post by simon » Thu Jul 21, 2005 11:38 pm

Great fun tonight at the MMC invitational day. I got there about 6.20 and sneaked in a good 1.5 hours of track time with a couple of breaks to let the tyres cool. Slight panic when I took some guy out for a pax ride and kept hearing a clunk when I went through Duffus and McIntyres. Turned out to be a tube of suncream under the pax seat rolling about :P

Had some fun at the hairpin sliding the back end out and catching it using Walshy's rotational steering. It's strange that doing that now comes as instinct but it just works soo well :D

There were some interesting lines going on from some people, first time I've seen anyone brake on the right going into the hairpin :?

Good to meet a few more people, namely Neil and Steve and big thanks to Pauline for tonight, it was much appreciated :thumbsup

Cool - had half an inclination to pop over and say hi - but by the time I'd done work, it would have been too late.

Currently in the process of completely overhauling the Shugmobile so I can get her back out on track before the season ends!!!

Simon,

Missed you by about 20 minutes - had to leave at 6. Did have a laugh, drove like a wuss and met a few new bods, a few I can remember (Neil McKean, John Reid...).

Not sure I can make it tomorrow to the Ross Blat, so may catch you again).

I wont make the run tomorrow so you won't see me there.
I think it must've been you I saw about 5 miles south of Perth then on the way down.

Hope you get the Shugmobile sorted and back on track soon :)
