HM day Sunday 10/6

Post by gorrie » Sat Jun 02, 2007 5:49 pm

KH appear to have put on an impromptu HM next Sunday. 3hrs, 9am-12pm.. £70 in advance. I know most will be up at Old Deer, but just thought I'd mention it.

If link doesn't work...it's a picture of a black Evo on its roof on Sunday.
Anyone know what happened?

Was there. Appears chap got into a big tank slapper coming out of Clark's, got on grass on inside of back straight around the kink and unluckily rolled when it clipped tyres. As far as I know he was OK, they drove car back but it had a fair dent in roof.
Not a bad day, started and ended dry but middle hour was a bit damp and greasy, kerbs v. slippy when above happened. Only about 15 cars, did quite a few laps when there was absolutely nothing else in sight, but lots of spectators who had arrived for stock cars pm, very strange.

Forgot to mention large Hare on track too (bottom right)

Wrap them in [ img][/img ] without the gaps and change the file name to .jpg rather than .html! :thumbsup

The Evo looked a bit of a mess, at least the guy had track insurance as it was almost certainly a write-off :( There were tyre marks from the outside kerb at Clarks that turned sharp right back across the track and into the tyres - looked very nasty.

I can't remember ever seeing such a quiet session, at times it felt like I had the track to myself, not a car in sight for 10 laps at a time  Was a bit strange having such a large crowd at the hairpin for the last hour of the session, definitely didn't want to mess up there

 Yes, I would have loved to have done the TT weekend, but had my younger sister up to visit, so Sunday's session was as much as I could manage - sounded like I missed a good weekend though

We had a red flag for a deer on the track on Friday.
