MIL light reset

My car's minor misfire developed into a major one today, culminating on it running on 2 cylinders along the M74! It did sound interesting however
Long story short, the problem is fixed but the MIL light refuses to go away. Anybody know of a way to turn the sucker off without an OBD tool?
Cheers,
Steve

I was under the impression it reset itself after 5 good starts if all was well with the engine

aah, i'm just being an impatient sod then
It's had a few starts since i fixed the problem but probably not 5. I'm off to st andrews tomorrow so the car will get a decent run & i'll post back.
Thanks,
Steve

I've got a obd reader, (well not strictly true dezzy still has it). If you bring you're car over I could hook it up and check the light

We are having a little spanners session at the Dom motorsport venue on Wednesday evening

That will give me some time to tie up with Dezzy and get the reader

The MIL will reset itself in due course provided the fault is cleared. A small piece of gaffer will fix it in in the meanwhile ...
Cheers,
Robin

You clearly have not been to Domsport before
All welcome. I'll be there from 7. (G23 5HD Luddon Construction's yard)
