Clutch....

Post by Rich H » Thu Jul 26, 2007 8:59 am

Morning all,

Bit of a strange request, does anyone have a spare clutch lying about? I need a couple of measurements if possible:

Overall diameter and the number of splines please. (Should be 215mm and 24 splines)

Also does anyone have a gearbox on the deck at the moment? Could they measure the diameter of the splined bit of the input shaft?

Looking for alternatives to Porsche clutches and the MGF has the same diameter and number of splines and I was wondering if the rest was industru standard or if I'm not that lucky

Cheers

Rich,

I have a g/b at home and probably a standard clutch too - you're welcome to the clutch if it's of use.

I'll measure up tonight ...

Cheers,
Robin

Many thanks Robin, might be a winner :D

I can't find any data on spline shaft sizes so I'm hoping its an industry standard 20mm or whatever.

Cool thanks!

Will have to measure my shaft (Ooo-er!) and see if it'll fit. Got a feeling its smaller (20mm OD) though... (Make of that what you will )

Stu saved me the bother - I am just in from work - I guess you have the info you need? I'm off to put my feet up then :-)
