Don't quote me but the 38's are like a med/hard 48. The 38's are deadly in the cold = but great once(if) you get a heat in them. I have driven the 38's in most conditions and have been caught out a few times with cold tyres

Cheers Scotty, am struggling to get 888s in time for FF so the choice is either of the above. I reckon 38s will hopefully last longer so might be best to go with those! cheers for your help!

I thought the 038s were the tyre developed specifically for the 340R?

I also thought the same as Greg and also thought they're meant to be great in the wet but overheat and wouldn't last long on a hot, dry track.

39s 38s are bloody fantastic on a dry track and almost suicidal in the wet.

225/45/16
A048's £126
Dunlop DZ02's £131 (Like R888's for compound and longevity but meant to be better/grippier)
Hankook RS2's £75 (Last longer but not as much grip IMO)
195/50/15
A048's £101
Dunlop DZ02's £122
Hankook out of stock but usually £49
These are all available next day from
http://www.camskill.co.uk. They also list the R888's so maybe worth calling them.
When do you leave for FF?
