Could be a candidate for a spanner n sponges look see before I dive in and spend some serious money refurbishing the beast..
I think I have an exhaust leak somewhere in the system, I can smell what I think is exhaust fumes in the car after I get full boost when I floor it a bit. On normal toodling about you dont smell it.
I can see no visual leaks or signs of one, no carbon deposits.
The car doesnt feel down on power at all so I dont think the turbo is goosed.
If the pistons were worn and it was breathing hard it would just get pulled back into the intake. With the oil filler cap of there doesnt appear to be any pressure coming back.
