Battery disconnected ECU wiped?

Post by james » Thu Jul 12, 2007 10:28 pm

I had to disconnect the battery last week. Now the car is nearly finished I drove it today for the firs time for 10 days but it seemed a bit slow.

Does the ECU get wiped when the battery is disconnected?
Does the ECU have to relearn the optimal settings?

Or am I just imagining things?

Anyone know?

Thanks 8)

It does do some learning, but I don't think there is anything that effects full throttle function.

Thrash the living daylights out of it and see whether it gets any better ...

everything was weighed before being fitted and the corresponding weight taken off my person. I now have to drive with no clothes on.

Ok, I've decided to wear clothes and just not fill the tank to the brim from now on. Saves weight and embarrasment.
