Rover Engine SWAP???

The S2 190 intake is actually not right angle, just really compact tracts with individual throttles on them. The trumpets are very short and far from ideal.
If you can live without the boot wall (or a large part of it) and you don't mind grafting a bonnet pin onto the back to hold down the boot lid, then you can fit the S1-style TBs and as big an airbox/trumpet setup as you fancy.
You'll struggle a bit with the loom, but it is doable. You will need to take the alternator and some other bits and pieces from the old S2 engine, though.
Cheers,
Robin
