Lotus Sport ECU Upgrade

Hi there.

Not sure if I have asked this question before - I know its been bounding about my head for a few weeks.

Im presuming that by lowering the change point of the second cam by about 500rpm or so (as per the Lotus Sport/ Hanger 111 upgrade) then the car would "gain" in performance and acceleration.

Although its not really documented in the bumpf that I have read, surely if you "activate" the "power" cam by 500rpm sooner, then the car has 500rpm more to push itself along the roader on the power cam, thus making it quicker??

Does that make sense? - So, without raising power (I dont believe the Lotus Sport ECU does raise power - but please correct me if Im wrong), the car can still be quicker than it is in standard ECU guise?!

Should I get my coat? :scratch

It will change the power delivery, the lunatic cam will come in earlier so you will have more torque and power lower down the rev range

so, therefore the car will accelerate quicker and harder, thus lowering 0-60 times, etc??

(but hopefully also making it more driveable and no more of this - pull out to overtake - wait for it, wait for it - BANG!!! wooooo!!)
