Front splitter

Post by ExigeKen » Fri Jun 01, 2007 2:05 am

Oops hit a dead deer on the road at Bearsden late tonight and it has damaged the front splitter. It has cracked into two pieces but stayed on the car. Can this be repaired or do I need a new splitter and is this a big job :?:

Amazingly despite cracking my number plate it has stayed on the car. Thanks again Campbell for the bolt and double sided carpet tape approach definately can take a real bashing. :thumbsup

No not too much really just the one crack on the splitter and it is slightly out of alignment. Just the signs of a well used Lotus I guess

Pics?

Should be repairable if it's not too bad.

I heard that the Exige splitter is very cheap to replace (although definition of cheap may be relative from MMC). Almost a disposable item... :?:

Worth checking vs cost of repair.

go to a motor cycle dealer and buy a fairing repair kit.

or you can buy from halfrauds for £18

it's an easy job, if you're sturuggling i'll pop over and do it for you - i've smashed up and repaired my ducati far too often for my own good and i've become fairly proficient in the art of plastic repair!
