alternator belt?

does a rover belt fit aswell i phoned at start of week mmc and ordered one which was supposed to be up in aberdeen on friday and never arrived, shock. does anyone know if theres somewhere in aberdeen i could buy one.

Rover belt will fit as long as you specify no power steering IIRC.

i will go down to halfords and see if they have one for a rover, im sick of my car lying doing nothing.

You will have to lie to them as the 'Frauds chimps will not have a clue.

Try rover 200 or Freelander 1.8 petrol that may get a hit. You should be able to get several if there is a choice and take them back if they are the wrong length.

i will go in past and see what they have, i have a rover 200 brm with the vvc engine i could go round and see if its same but it has power steering so doubt it.

i think the power steering is a red herring as the caterham dry sump pump lives where the power steering bit should be and it is driven from a different belt to the alternator.

So basically any k-series belt should fit
