Post by meatball » Fri Feb 23, 2007 5:14 pm

You guys have prob already covered this but..........

Has anyones front indicators popped out whilst driving?

If so how did you resecure it?

Modded clips - should be a free fix from Lotus.

It's worth making a pain of yourself about it too - in the end mine had to have some extra material from under the clam removed.

So, how do you get the lens out?
Do you just prise it out gently?
If so, what end first?

I want to change the bulbs to Silver ones.
to eliminate the fried egg look.

Yep, should be free but tbh, I wouldn't bother and would just repair your existing one. I'm on my 4th indicator and all the ones that have broken have been the new design.

The "flexi" clip is towards the front of the car. You should be able push the indicator towards the front of the car and the clip should have enough give to allow the indicator to come free.

To put it back in, you put the rear end in first and push the indicator back and down to snap it into place.

When I replaced mine, the clip was broken and I was using the makeshift one. As these are prone to breaking on their own, I would be pretty careful with it.

Gary.
