Back to a previous plan, does anyone want to buy me
this engine and a nice
Eaton supercharger to go with it and I'll bolt them into my Liz.
The engine should be able to cope with the supercharger as the charger is undersized and it's a turbo K anyway of the Turbo 75 just before the end of Rover and with a bit of luck the mounts will be the same and probably the inlet & exhaust manifolds will fit.
Anyone feeling generous?
Rich

Jaysus dude, you still sponging off the missus?
Why don't you get her to buy them, using the cunning excuse that it'll save you becoming clinically depressed and costing far more in private therapy....
...not that I've used that line......
okay, maybe for one wee VVC engine.....

I believe the correct term for the above idea in accordance with your avatar would be Dobber.

If only she'd let me get away with it. I'm still having to pay full unabated rent/electric/food/etc

Well of course I do, why not! I don't have an elderly astra with a headlight missing and mix and match red oxide paintwork...

Reminds me of an ex-girlfriend whose cheating, lying gypo of a father ran 2 businesses while claiming benefits...
Turned up every time to sign on in a Range Rover - they finally caught on and he was chucked in the pokey for 6 months
Couldn't have happened to a better person (I just wish he'd met 'Big Dave' in the showers.....)

It's not scrounging it's claiming back some of the £'000s in tax I have paid in the past 6 years and at £57 / week it's going to take a while...!
I park the liz cross the road so they can't see it

'Course dude, not comparing you at all. You'd definately know that if you'd ever have met this worm....

Read that back and it sounded like a retort, not my intention... I know you didn't mean it like that really
I am now officially scrounging. Useless system involves alot of people sitting at desks waiting for people who can't even be bothered to turn up on time for their dole money. I say you should be there on time or no cash. No waiting and no excuses! Also no money if you smell.

I dont mean this to offend but if I were in that situation (and thinking back to when I was at uni and lived on £5 a week) I would rather do ANY job than claim benefits. I would rather work doing anything and punt my car than get £57/week for free.
But maybe thats just me.

It is getting to that point I have to admit. The benefits thing is mainly to keep the national insurance up to date. It should be straight forward enough to work for British Aerospace but they take 6 months to get back to you...
I do have a very promising sounding job in the pipeline (as a consultant!) and I have been promised an answer soon. I have also applied for a whole host of positions but no one seems to want to answer before Chrsitmas. So it's not as if I'm sitting around doing nothing
As I say it is near that time but not just yet thanks, if after christmas I still haven't anything solid then I will.
