Mair go!

Post by tuscan_thunder » Mon Dec 04, 2006 12:32 pm

My car's got the 135 engine. It has a 57i K&N which adds noise but I suspect no power.

It has a Janspeed exhaust which is on its last legs.

The car's been feeling a little flat recently, not quite so keen as it used to feel. It seems to take a wee while to really get going and even when it does it never seems to pull with the conviction it used to. Could be my imagination though.....(It's always on decent fuel and the air filter's clean)

It's due an MoT in January so I'll wait til that's past before doing any work.

I will replace: Fuel filters, plugs and plug leads and probably change the front brakes and fit braided lines as well as the usual service items (incl cambelt).

I need a new exhaust and I think I'll decat the car too.

Being a tight Scot, I want a cheap exhaust! If it's loud then that's all the better! Will a decat pipe, like an Eliseparts one, fit any exhaust?

Any exhaust advice will be welcomed as will any ideas as to how to get a wee bit more go without spending mental money.

All advice welcomed!

Did you buy the janspeed?

If it's a 304stainless steel one it should have a lifetime warrenty.

it was on the car when I got it - it's cracked in the U-shaped bit and has been welded but it's nae helping matters. I guess it's stainless but I'm not sure. There's no invoice for it in my folder of documents though...

and the packing requires replacing every so often ( thats how I bourght it I repacked it )

tell me more! I'm interested.

Where did you get it from, how much was it, is it easy to fit?
