S1 Elise Toe links / rod ends

Post by 2F45T4U » Wed Jun 22, 2022 1:48 pm

My outer has just snapped off.

Is there a cross ref part number or used on a other vehicle so i can possibly get quickly from the local motor factors?
Inner and outers if you have make / model / number

Cheers

Ok, looks like these are 'specials' for the Elise. But happy to be corrected

Just ordered a set from EP.

They are specials, but you are better off changing them for standard rose joints.
It's not nice when they go on you!

Interesting when i removed the old snapped joint, the ball joint was almost solid. Probable failure was fatigue since all the force was transferred to the arm.

That's what happens.
The ball seizes and the metal fatigues. It's worth reaching underneath and giving the bar a twist regularly.

I will get rose-joints the next time round

It is worth considering the update to the EP links. There are other options like Spitfire too.
