Scottish Elises

Am I correct in thinking that the grey interior trim panels in an Elise are actually painted?
A few of the trim panels on the car are marked or stained and no mater what I have tried I cant shift the stains.

Does anyone have prior experience in refurbishing the trim panels to an almost new condition?
