Where are you locating the cooler?

It'll sit on the left of the engine bay (as you look form the rear) on the bulkhead.

It's a water/oil heat exchanger, so location isn't too important, wrt airflow or anything.

Errm

Judging by where the oil filter is , where your cooler is going, where the thermostat housing is and the plumbing routing for that, are you like into self harm & stuff?

Are you going to take the clam off or am I just being a bit dramatic.

Good luck onyhoo.

Ach, there's enough room....

Fair point - it's gonna be a squeeze, but I'm sure liberal swearing with do wonders...

It will certainly provide a good guide of what not to do for future fitters! I'll probably take photos throughout and try and come up with a fitting guide.

Did you get the prrt from rover?

Land Rover dealer.

The part number for the kit is on this webpage:

http://web.tiscali.it/elise_s1/index.htm

Took some convincing of the LR parts guy that it existed though! It's supposedly not on their system, but if he speaks to somebody who knows, it exists... Prolly something to do with Rover/Land Rover/Powertrain still denying the 1.8K has an HGF problem in some installs....

There is a lass here who knows about the Landie HGF....!

Nearly new Freeloader blown HG, the guy at the Landrover stealer apparently didn't even bat an eyelid, apparently its a `feature`.....

Fixed FOC under warranty in a couple of days. Apparently it's called 'customer service' and its provided to all non-lotus owners...

Aye

I'd seen that thread before, That Guy Yasec is some boy like. Personally I'll be stopping some way short of bespoke one off CNC machined inlet manifolds!!!!!!

Hats off to him though.

Have you got them fitted yet?

Are you thinking you should have gone for a combined unit instead?

I, in a moment of madness forked out for the trophy tb last week & fitted it. I was surprised at how noticable the difference was.

Next gratuitous spend deffo the PRRT. Good winter weekend job (after the wardrobes & the fan in the loo).

Fitting the cooler this weekend (at mac's) Will take along the PRRT, to have a look at routing, but will leave that, because we only have until 5 on Sat and the car needs to be running at that point - it's the last free day I've got before Cadwell.
