Guys,
Does anyone know how to take the rear Number plate holder off the car? Is it bolted or stuck on? I want to fit a smaller plate.
Cheers Joss

I've been wondering the same. Its the same on the S and it looks form the manual like it might just be stuck on. But with what I don't know and whether you can get it off cleanly is another concern. I've left it alone just now for fear of damaging the matt black paint. Worth a post in the V6 space on TLF?
Congrats on the car, how long have you had it?

Thanks for the link, just really scared I damage the matte paint aswell lol. I will have a bash after Christmas and let you know how I get on.
Thanks

I was supposed to get it in March when the new 17plate came out but Dvla made a mess of registering it so picked it up in April. Really enjoying it so far

Going by Deroure it's just taped on.

Item 5 is the plinth and 13 is double sided tape.

I took it off to shorten it on my V6 Andy, it’s just bolted up through the front splitter, Only two bolts holding it in. If you look at the pic Niel posted from deroure it’s the pic on the top left.

The full plate and holder is much better a deflecting hares.

Mine didn't do a great job. Luckily they make black gaffer tape

They should give a roll away in nearest the paint colour with every new Lotus. Gotta be the most valued and versatile accessory ever!

I’ve now modified my front holder for a smaller plate. Just needs a lick of paint over the cut parts and it can go back on. I’ll take some pics next week.

Modified the front bracket. Drilled out the rivets and trimmed it down. Trimming was easy, I put a groove in the aluminium with the dremmel and then bent it along the line and it snaps off easily. I reversed the bend on the part that connects to the car, but in hindsight it made little difference and I should have left it as it’s pushed the plate forward by a few milimetres. Filed to clean it up and a quick lick of paint and ready to go back on.
For some reason I prefer this to running without a plate.
Need to sort pics from a laptop later, don’t have the patience right now to work out how to do Flickr from the phone.
