Exhaust design

This a larini, I think it's a terrible design? I have added some coloured gas flow lines to show why

This is an S2 Elise version but very similar to the one that I had on my 4 Pot Esprit

OK, so Red is the path of least resistance for the gas, therefore I see no reason why on earth the gas or even 50% of the gas would bother following the blue route and doubling back on itself? It's not even like it is hitting the Y split straight on as the pipe has no straight section between the bend and the Y split....

From experience what happens is the gas follows the red route and the yellow route. the garage who built my Esprit held a leaf in front of the left hand pipe and it got sucked in and came out the right hand pipe in a similar way to how your Karcher picks up the shampoo from the soap tank,

I have to say it sounded great on my Esprit and I loved the Larini on my S1 but surely its not the best design??

Winner, save weight by ditching the blue/yellow path silencer. ;)
In fact point that pipe through the diffuser for more downforce...

It would make good power. In fact 197 bhp atw. Sounds fantastic and see,s to have very good flow.

Can you do a 'GT3' style pipe in these? Looks amazing....

The EP tail pipe has a similar issue as it splits a single route to two right st the end after the silencer resulting in one pipe getting much hotter. Helps with the noise test though as they always put the sensor in the pipe with less flow. :-D
