rear upper wishbone install

I am currently rebuilding the S1 exige suspension, all is going well and it's looking very tidy. However last night I moved on to the last corner the drivers side rear and have not been able to figure out how to refit the upper wishbone. I did spend a couple of hours last night trying but didn't make any progress - very frustrating. The wishbone bushes which fit to the chassis are angled particularly the rear one which mean the the gap between the bushes is narrower than the gap between the mounting points. The passenger side was similar, but I managed did fit it eventually. The picture was taken on the phone so there is some lens distortion. Both left and right wishbones are identical, have no sign of damage and were labelled when I removed them.

I'm sure others have had similar, so I'd be very grateful for any suggestions on how to get this in place.

I had to use a bit of gentle persuasion to get mine back in place as it was a tight fit. Piece of wood and a mallet got it in place. Bushes obviously need to be driven all the way home and square due to the tolerances

Did you have the electroplating redone?

The car has spent most of its life in a heated garage, with a wheels off clean prior to winter, so the wishbones were in good shape. I gave them a good clean and 3 coats of POR15.
