308mm Exige discs

The discs on N3 need replacing all round, Keith had fitted thousands of pounds worth of 4 Pot upgrades which is fine until they wear out. The cost of the work so far even with Craig trying to keep it down is going to be third world GNP standard, so we have fitted standard steels to the rear, but the rotors for the ali bells at the front are £600 pair, so we want to fit standard steel discs. Craig says that the only discs that he can be sure of fitting are the four hole 308mm AP ones fitted to the Exige 240 or 260 with the 4 pot callipers.

Has anybody any used ones still stored away that they replaced with new or upgraded to ali belled ones?

You could always just refit the standard calipers tut??? I'm not convinced you really need the 4 pots on an Elise.

I can't believe he's managed to wear out front and rear upgraded ones.

I can get them for £550.

Cant see the 308 one piece lotus discs being much less than that.

What pads are you using that you have worn out the AP ones??

Craig suggested that Stu, I presume that it would be the most economical option and I would still keep the Ali bells. Will check with him today.

Tut,
You could try Ian at Godspeed; he manufactures custom discs & bells for the AP & Brembo kits fitted to the Impreza's.

Thanks Mark, after hours of googling I may have hit gold. Craig just needs to check the PDC tomorrow.

They even have the same J hooks as mine.

That's where I was going to get the Evo discs from when I had it. Much cheaper. Didn't know if they did your sizes though.

Are these discs the right thickness? I thought they should be 28mm whereas these are 24mm.
Seloc techwiki says 310x28 for the 4 pots - http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Brake_discs
Reyland also do a 310x28 - http://www.reyland.co.uk/discs/

Tut, I see Elise parts list pagids for the 4 pot calipers. Think you mentioned you could only get CL pads.

Mine are Caparo calipers Don and I have been told that Pagids don't fit, just CL's.

Good point Neil, never considered the thickness.

308mm is definitely correct as is the PDC, mine are actually 25mm thick, but on the way now so hope they are correct.
