Accumate charger not charging

Car wouldn't start today despite being plugged into accumate charger since it was last out. I had noticed the light hadn't turned green, the power light was on but not the charging light. I tried it with the fitted plug (bolted to the battery terminals) and with the crop clips. The inline fuse is also ok. Is the charger nadgered or is it a problem with the battery? After using jump leads to start the car it was fine for the rest of the day.

Thanks

Try it on another battery before deciding it's the charger. :-) If it is the charger then maybe the wires between the unit and where it connects to the fly lead is broken in some way?

Have you been drinking this weekend? Sure they were on the right terminals?!

Will try on another battery.
On the right terminals sanjoy, the port had been wired into the terminals for a year or two

Check the metal pins inside the white connectors too.

One of mine broke a year or two back and I didn't notice. New connector cable and it's fine again.

Just a thought but I was advised that my accurate was a conditioner/top up only and won't recover a flat or discharged battery, it's just not got the oomph.

Try charging the battery back up on a run and then plugging in the accumate and see if it works.

Apologies if that's been tried already.

I looked into that recently when I had a flat battery. While it won't do it fast an accumate will recover a flat battey. I didn't beleive it but it does say so in the instructions, takes a few days though. So getting an initial charge into the battery with a conventional charger is more appropriate and significantly faster. :)

My Halfords poverty spec charger has recovered the Elise batteries from the dead a number of times, as well as the Skoda once too :-)
