Fitted a V8 in the elise this weekend

Not really, obvously. But I did manage to put a hurricane in at the weekend. (I should have been a gynocologist
).
Is it supposed to be that loud? Nice and quiet running along, but push the pedal (which I don't do any more. see http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/vie ... php?t=3666
) and it sounds like a badly tuned V8.
Is it fitted right, the pipe from the air box to the throttle body seamed a lot wider, could it be sucking air in at the throttle boby. The instructions said to be carefull and not over tighten the jubilee clip.
