my mate sold his S4 but kept the winter alloys and tyres. He has bought a Seat Leon R thing.

Anyway the wheels are the same size and he wondered if he can use them on the Seat? the problem is the offset.

Offset on the S4 wheels are 51, on the Leon they are 43

the Seat garage said they wouldn't recomend it but just thought i would ask on here.

Thoughts?

Cheers

Should get away with a slip on 5mm spacer. Wouldn't recommend anything thicker than that without going for proper hubcentric jobbies with longer wheel bolts / studs. You would need to check the clearance between the wheel / tyre and the suspension / wheel arch etc. especially as alot of winter tyres are higher profile then the standard tyres.

Oh and I've assumed the wheel center bore is the same between cars, obviously essential in locating the wheel, and that there is sufficent thread lenght in the exiting studs / bolts (should be if going to a higher offset wheel).

The wheels will each sit 8mm further in. I did similar when I was 19, wasn't too bad, but the steering was a touch lighter and had a touch less feel. This was on a non-pas 106 Rallye though.
