Fitting S2 cam cover to S1

Post by les » Sun Sep 23, 2012 1:39 am

HI Guys,

Got a few questions on how to do this, but I know it has been done in the past. Can anyone remember whats involved in doing this mod? I'm assuming that I can install both the metal cam cover and the plastic over cover from the EU3 engine as a set, and still run the plug leads in the top of the cover. Will the plastic cover need to be modified to give enough clearance for the leads? Also can you get a plastic blanking plug in place of the cam sensor?

Any pointers would be great :)

Hi, I've not fitted mine yet but have cut out a small section from the side of the plastic cover to allow the plug leads to exit without rubbing against it.
I managed to get the aluminium cam cover with a plastic blanking plate fitted instead of the cam sensor so they must be available.
