Anyone know somewhere in Glasgow that can manage to do proper wheel alignment in Glasgow?

:cheers

I recently had mine done by Caledonia Wheel Alignment in Rutherglen. The owner's main business is in selling alignment equipment so he knows his stuff and can set the car up to your specification - you would need to tell him what you want though otherwise you will get standard settings.

I only had the Toe adjusted on my car though so can't comment on his ability to do camber/caster. Although camber is set using shims so I don't think it loses its setting - only needs adjusted if you want it.

Cost was £55.

Other places are Kenny Brown in Hillington who gets a good name but is quite expensive.

I actually went to 'the garage' in Wishaw before eventually going to Caledonia wheel alignment. My rear toe was miles out as I had the toe links replaced. I then asked for 1.5mm over rear toe in and they then attempted to give me that setting. Drove away and the steering wheel was still off centre going straight. They said that it must be the front track road ends and that it didn't actually matter if the steering wheel was straight ahead. The only thing that had changed was the rear toe so of course it wasn't front track rods!

Gave up on them at this point and went to Caledonia wheel alignment where they were shocked to see a huge thrust angle and 9mm of toe in on each wheel!!!

In short, I would avoid the garage.

Cool.

Glad you were pleased with them. Handy to have somewhere in Glasgow that can be trusted provided you know what settings you want.
