Hi Folks,i`ve just returned after a journey of about 50 miles in the Elise SC,nearing home i heard a gurgling type noise coming from behind the drivers side of the engine bay and on inspection i`ve noticed that one of the rubber pipes seems to be coated in frost, engine temperature is normal and the aircon seems to be working ok,any advice would be great as i`m a bit green on the mechanicals,Cheers. :?

Is the pipe cold, or just visually appears like frost?

Leaking coolant can leave a dusting of white powder as it evaporates. Any photos?

Don't worry it's just gas gas.

Sure it's not an inter cooler or AC pipe ?. Air temp is pretty low at the moment, and doubt the coolant hoses have frozen.

Picture should clear it up

Just noticed you're in g11, might be able to have a glance at it for you one night this week.

Only Elise I've seen in the area has been a black edition behind the old BBC plot.

Hi Woody, thanks for your kind offer to have a look at it,the car and i are now situated at PA19 so it might be a bit of a problem.A mate of mine is going to check it out tomorrow night so i`ll keep you posted, cheers,Eric :thumbsup
