Stripping a CTR - what bits do I need to keep??

I've just had this little beauty delivered. I bought it through Overton Dismantlers salvage auction. It only has 27000 miles with a full dealer service history for only £1940...cheaper than what some engine and gearboxes go for on ebay.

The plan is to take what I need from it to do an engine swap in my Elise (already have the conversion mounts) and sell off the rest and hopefully get as much money as I can back...hopefully it will work out that I pay nothing for the engine and gearbox etc
I know I need to keep the engine, gearbox, driveshafts, wiring loom and ecu. But are there any other bits I need to remove and keep?? Any sensors etc??
Also whats the best sump baffel to use with a K20a in an Elise? and what parts are reqired to remove the power steering pump from the engine?
Thanks,
Kev.
PS anyone need some CTR parts??

If I were you and had storage, I'd hold onto it until the conversion was complete. I could think of nothing more annoying than getting to the end and needing a loom connector or something, only to have sold it...

That would be the best thing to do but I don't have any storage and its at my parents house. They only found out about it when the truck turned up to deliver it this morning

... I must have forgotten to mention it. I've been given 3 weeks before it has to be gone.

I could start off with some tips on engine removal.
The engine, gearbox, with engine loom is bolted into the front subframe. So you can remove the subframe complete with engine, driveshafts hubs the lot. All you have to remove is a battery cable inside the fusebox (white), un plug 2 ecu connectors (behind a gromit inside the car), earth cable, fuel line Might be a few other bits but that's the idea.
You want to keep.
Engine & Gearbox complete with engine loom (no need to remove the loom).
Slave Cylinder
Honda ECU
E Connector - this is a white plug that is part of the car loom and difficult to get hold off)
C101 Connector - Grey plug that is part of car loom. Best leaving plenty of wire if you don't want to make new terminals.
Primary 02 Sensor - again you can steal the plug as its part of the car loom
Driveshaft Cover - This is somethimes missing but is a really good heatshield for the inter mediate shaft.
Inner CV Joint - Expensive items, you can re use when you make the conversion shafts
Connector for fuel rail (not really needed, but i prefer it)
To run on existing ECU with no modifications
You can't bypass the immobiliser as such, so you have to use the key sensor ring with a key and wire into a loom. remember and steel the green plug with a nice length of wire.
The best way is to upgrade the ECU (i.e Hondata) so you can turn the immobilser off.
All i can think off at the moment, ill add to the list if something else springs to mind.
Alan
P.S Have wiring diagrams for the conversion if interested.

What about hiring a shipping container somewhere to store it? I used ot pay £53 a month for 20 foot container with 24 security, cameras and massive killer dogs. 3 months would give you plenty of time?
You'll be able to sell interior and wheels if they are straight, then it would be all the other bits and pieces, soon add up.

You are up in aberdeenish?
I need a new garden shed after i ran over the last one with the unimog while trying to move it
So keep it water tight and rolling and we might be able to come to some agreement if i manage to get rid of the boat and the slocus
Oh and i do have a large selection of grinders and gas axes so i can help with removing the engine
But its probably easier if i don't help

Alan - Thanks, that was exactly the sort of info I needed with what connectors to keep.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to remove the engine from the top as I won't be able to get the shell high enough to slide the engine and subframe out underneath.
You have a PM.
Kev.
