Suspension Upgrade

Hello lovely people...

I'm about to press "buy now" on a set of Nitron Street Series for my S2'K'. The current suspension is well past it's sell-by date, and I'm going to bite that £700 bullet - eek.

My local garage in Dunkeld (GM - Gordon is good guy, knows cars but not Lotus really...) will fit. My question is: should I just fit them as they come out of the box or is there a preferred tweak to standard settings that forum member have found..?

I found this so far:
les wrote:Ali fitted them for me yesterday and Mark found a few people recommended 22 Front / 18 Rear at a ride height of 115F / 125R over on *eloc. I can easily adjust if required, our own AndyG managed to point me in the right direction
Many thanks!

This may sound obvious, but mentioning as my nitrons (NTR) came without any fitting guidelines. It's important to seal the o-rings round the spherical bearings at either end with appropriate grease. Lithium grease is supposed to be fine, but there is a seal service kit available that comes with newspare o rings.

You will need to get the ride height set once fitted. Then get the adjustable thingamys set to something standard as far as the other wizardry goes. If they come with new brackets for the attaching to the chassis then remember to get some Duralac between the bracket and the chassis to stop corrosion. ( I didn't  )

Even basic fitting instructions would be handy when buying these things but you don't get a single word with them.
