Wheel Offsets

Standard front wheel is ET 40 and aftermarket front wheel is same width and ET 50... am I right in thinking I just need to use a spacer?

Yup, ET is distance from the centreline of the wheel to the bolt face. Aftermarket wheel would hence sit 10mm further in, spacer required to move it outwards.
