Fuel pump running continuously before starting

While I was at home this time I decided to put my Elise back together and get it MOT'd. That all went to plan and the car is now "fit" for the queens highway.

On problem I do have is that the fuel pump doesn't do its normal priming for a few seconds then shut down before I start the car...it just runs continuously for how ever long the ignition is on for.

The chances are this problem is down to me. I did have a few of the conectors out of the ecu plug and there is a chance I never put them back in the right place  I did have a quick check but couldn't see anything obvious.

Is it the ecu that contols the fuel pumps short burst before before it starts? or is it something else?

I have had a good look around for leaks etc.

Cheers,
Kev.

It is the ECU that controls the fuel pump.

If you pop your ECU connector off and take a picture from the terminal side (i.e. so I can see all 36 terminal positions) I can (a) check if any pins are in the wrong position and (b) show you which one is the fuel pump.

Cheers,
Robin
