Guys
Am looking to get my Alloys refurbed in the Edinburgh Area has anyone got there's done recently. Looking for a rough price guide. Also am I right in saying if they are powder coated this will make them darker? The wheels are BMW 225m in Silver.
Cheers
C

New Life tyres in Duddingston might be worth a go.
I've had tyres replaced by them and they seem like a pretty decent bunch.
I'm thinking about getting the wheels done in the summer and was going to try them, but would be interested to hear anybody else's experiences.

I had my BMW wheels refurbished by Newlife tyres.
The finish was 'sparklier' than OEM but I wouldn't necesarily say darker. Seems like a good quality job too. It cost me £250 (I think) for 18's and that was dropping the car off at 8ish and picking it up at 4ish the same day. Pretty good for an all inclusive service I thought.
The guy who deals with the wheel refurbs is also very friendly and knowledgable and spen ta while explaining how they do it, what colours were available etc.
I also had my winter wheels powder-coated this year. They are 17's and got them done at a local place (Kingdom coatings in Leslie). Much cheaper- only cost £40 per wheel but I had to remove the tyres myself so worth factoring that into the price (they will do it for £10 extra per wheel). About a week turnaround on those.
I'm happy enough with the job although I don't think they did as much prep as Newlife as you can still see some rough patches underneath the new 'paint' where they were corroding before. To be fair though, the wheels were really pretty bad before-hand.
I'd use both places again, Newlife has to be recommended for ease of use though
