If you need to use Braille to read your battery, should you really be driving?

I think Ali has knowledge of a lightweight battery in an Exige - seem to remember something about it being a git for discharging with the alarm, but if you're using it everyday, I'd not imagine it being a problem.

Lightweight sealed batteries are not a good idea if you use the car every day. They don't work the same as ordinary batteries and you'll be lucky if it lasts a year in everday use.
There are far more practical ways to save weight. IMHO

I am running
ODYSSEY PC545MJ 12V (545 Cranking Amps) if that helps at all, 5.7kg

I'm needing a battery and looking to keep this car for the long term.
They offer a lithium battery at 4kg and lifetime warranty

Yup, my car came with a similar one in it.

I wouldn't recommend one tbh, bit of a pita. Charge can last less than a week if it's cold.
...and yeah, it'd fair rattle around without. Mine was dogily heald with heavy weight velco, but hidden by the plastic battery cover thing (that weighs about the same).
Edited to add: Dan, it's lasted well over two years with me on basically daily use. Also been dead a few times...
