Yellow oil

I've kind of got used to what dirty oil looks like - black, maybe a dark brown if it's not too old, but today when I changed the oil on the Yaris and it was definitely yellow - not the golden yellow it went in, but more of an opaque yellow!

This was the first time i used Halfrauds fully synthetic 5-30 so my thought it may be something to do with the brand. But then it has also been the coldest weather I remember and wondered if it might be something to do with that?

Anyone else noticed yellow oil?

I use gallons of halfords fully synth and it always goes black as normal... Condensation causing water in the oil?

..........if milky sounds like your getting water into the oil some where?

Thinking about it you’re probably right. The recent foggy weather and some very short runs probably caused condensate to emulsify in the oil. I'm guessing the fully synthetic oil keeps it in suspension better than the older mineral oils.
