Meta M99T2, VX220?

Post by r10crw » Tue Dec 07, 2010 10:01 pm

I have the above in my toyota which doubles as immob and alarm. My only key fob is on its way out and since I dont have the original red installation card a replacement aint easy.
Ive been told this is the same alarm used by the VX as standard? and if so would anyone here happen to have that particular wiring diagram from the workshop manual?
Thanks Craig.

On the vx220 forum there was a company called abacus alarms that were offering cheap replacement alarm units and fob's.

They were offering cheap control units as the one fitted as standard to the vx220 has different firmware from the off the shelf meta alarm. The vx220 firmwared unit would false alarm when a door bell near by was pushed or other wireless interference in the area.

Anyway they offer a reprogramming service etc here

Also a few people on the forum have said they are very helpful over the phone and you can sometimes get a discount if you speak to him.

Brilliant, the £99 is much better than the £250 i was previously looking at so prefer this than removing the alarm.
Thanks for all the help,
Craig.
