Does anyone know where I might get a compressor for the air con unit for my 2002 Elise ? New ones are about £300 / £350 I believe so I would be looking to spend a good deal less than that.

I have one from a 111S sitting in my garage which you are welcome to inspect to see if it's the item you need; it was working before it was removed from the car (came as part of an engine that I bought off somebody fitting a Honda).
Assuming it's the one you want it's yours for £50.
Cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin
Thanks for your offer. Whereabouts are you so that I can arrange to see it ? I assume it came off the same series of Elise and had a K-series engine ?
Cheers
Phil

Sorry - I've been distracted for the past few days so didn't see this reply until this morning. I'm in Edinburgh, near the Dene Bridge. It's off a S2 111S (VVC), but I do know that there are two variants of the a/c system I believe, and I don't know which this is. Give me a shout on 07973 391 393 and we can arrange for you to take a look at it.
Cheers,
Robin

Hi,
Got this note from the original seller of the engine that the compressor is off:
Aircon was working nicely when engine came out of my car. It's a 2003/2004 car. Previous owner regased aircon before I bought the car.
Hopefully the year will be enough to work out whether or not the compressor is suitable for your car!
Cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin
Thanks for the info. I'll check with Murrays to see if its the same one and will speak to Brian (Ali's mate who deals with air con) about whether the unit can be tested off the car.
Cheers
Phil
