weird noise

Post by DavieK » Mon Jul 19, 2010 7:11 pm

Not had much of a chance to investigate this as I was in a rush (and lack the talent!) but today I started the Elise to make sure it would before swapping kid seats and there was a sort of noise from the engine/exhaust, not very good at describing things but it sounded like metal heating and expanding ... sort of creaking and a creaky door from a horror film. I didn't leave it running as I was in a rush and would like some input as to what it might be before I fire it up again.

Cheers in advance

Small update

finally managed to get a chance to check this out again, started the car and it ticked over nicely (well as nicely as a S160 can) so now I need a little bit of time to take it out for a little run.

see what happens i suppose
