Oil change - better before, or after, a track day?

I usually service the Elise in June / July.

Will be attending the TT trackday this year, and can't make my mind up whether there is any (dis)benefit in changing oil before, or after, the event.

I don't do as many laps as most, and I do drive like Miss Daisy by comparison to many as well, however the car has a nicely breathed on head so will be revved close to the limiter for the session.

Discuss?

Sorry don't have an answer to this but I had just been thinking the same thing and decided to book my Exige into Ali just before TT. Wanted to make sure it is in fine fettle before i do another track day and big road run with it with it.

Also want to make sure the brakes are okay.

If it's due a change I'd always get it done beforehand - you want the oil in good shape for track.
What has it done since the last change? Miles/track? How's it look on the dipstick? Nice and clear or 'orrible and black?

Knowing your usage Campbell, if it looks OK I wouldn't worry too much if it has to wait until afterwards.
