The best track brake pads
Guys, which pads do you recommend for track use on the CR (standard discs and calipers). I've been using RS14 front and RS42 rear but I need to get some new pads soon.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

The Carbotech XP10s I have been using are excellent. The 10's might be overkill on the rears so will probably try XP10 front and XP8 rear next time.

Pretty difficult to beat Pagids.

Dan why???? I had the 42s front and they didn't last long at all! 15s are lasting a lot longer.

Dan, I can't ignore the wear rate with the number of TDs I do

I've overheated 42s on the front Dan (and that was in in an N/A Exige), I'm sure Mass would do the same having witnessed his braking antics.

Agree with the balance though, even worse with 4 pots on the front...

If you overheat 42s then I would recommend the following:
AP 295 discs on the front and AP290s on the rear. 42s on the front and 14s rear., Standard calipers will suffice with that setup. If that isn't sufficient then you're either doing it wrong or you have a lot of power/a very heavy car.

Oh, and I would never run 14s on the front of an ABS equipped Elise/Exige.

The bite is the best I’ve had from a brake pad and it’s also the first brake pad I’ve had that doesn't give me pad displacement, caused mainly by overheating. They were great at the Nurburgring which has 3 very heavy braking points. No idea on wear rate as yet, but worth every penny for performance.
Only downside is they are loud.

Current car has 308s on the front with 4pots now so could maybe try 42s on the front 14s rear (currently 14s all round).
I had some pad transfer on the first set of 14s but since skimming they have been fine...
