Post by neil » Fri May 14, 2010 3:36 pm

Has anyone got a copy of the technical service bulletin that comes with the upgraded resistor pack? Mine's arrived minus instructions :-(

same happened to me. I called murray's for a copy but 4 months later, I'm still waiting.

its quite staightforward.

clam off

disconnect a/c & heater pipes

split joint between fan & heater matrix

lift out heater matrix block

lift out fan unit

remove old resistor pack and cover hole with blanking plate provided & then apply sticky backed foam stuff.

remove interface plate with the two hooks on the bottom from the fan unit and replace with the new one provided. overlay foam stuff on the side that interfaces back onto the heater matrix.

remove plate on the heater matrix (drill out the pop rivets) and install the new plate (i used small set screws & nuts instead ofhte rivets supplied) with resistors in it's place. (resistors on the inside.)

connect up the orange/ black wires.

from here on in, it's just a case of reinstating everything back in reverse order.

there's a SELOC techwiki as well but it doesn't say much about the kit.

(PM'd you my home number if you need to talk any of it through)

hopes this helps

:cheers
