VX220 clutch pedal return spring

Post by Corranga » Fri Feb 12, 2010 6:20 pm

Does the car need this, it broke tonight...

Clutch seems to work properly but the pedal feels a bit lighter.

Chris

Edit: Done some googling and it seems to be a common problem and not a part that's required

As it is a Vauxhall Chris, you can probably do without it, and it will also decrease the weight.

Not needed but recommended, it will lighten the clutch feel up a bit without it

That's exactly what I told Erica

The pedal does feel quite light without it, I'll maybe pop into my local vauxhall dealer to watch them get confused at the small plastic car

IIRC is a 70p part that they'll have in stock, although you can amuse yourself by asking them to fit it.
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

:damnfunny That would be an experience.

I'm always tempted to pay the 2 or 3 quid to have Halfrauds to fit a headlight bulb to the Elise

Bought one from my local Vauxhall dealer, £2.83 or something and it's about twice the length of the broken one (it didn't break in the middle!).

If I hadn't seen the screen where he picked the order number from i'd think it was the wrong part. Still, will fit it at some point and see what happens :)
