Damaged Defendall

Not sure if I should be posting this here or in the Car Care section, but here goes:
I've noticed the Defendall covering in front of the rear wheel is coming away from the paintwork. It looks like something has rubbed against the car and lifted a small section. It's unlikely it'll stick back down, so I'm hoping to remove a small section (only a couple of square inches). Thankfully, the paintwork underneath looks fine.
Anyone got any ideas of how to do this neatly without damaging the paintwork?
I was thinking about using a razor to cut round the damaged area (maybe follow the the crease in front of it), but am worried I'd cut into the paintwork.
Cheers

Hair Drier and Patience
Not that bad though and at least its protecting the rest of the paint.

Can't cut bits out unfortunately - near impossible and you will hit the paint if you try.
Either a) leave it or b) take the whole section off - i've taken all my Armourfend off bar the front panel now (which ironically has a chip in it like your pic) in prep for the bodyshop this month and it came off a treat. Learnt many a lessons in doing it and no need for a hair dryer if you do it in a certain way as well.
Feel free to give me a shout before attempting if you want

I cut a similar sized piece out of my defendall using a surgical scalpel. No paint damage, easy peasy.
You're welcome to borrow the scalpel if you like.

Cheers for the tips.
I think I'll wait for a decent, dry day (may be waiting a while) and try cutting round the damaged area. What could possibly go wrong
I had originally planned to take out a bigger section to try to get a neater finish, but on looking again, I'll just take out the torn bit. It's hardly noticeable so shouldn't look too odd.
Neil, thanks for the loan of the scalpel, but I reckon I should be able to get my hands on one.
