Jacking

I know that I have told a couple of you about this but attached is a picure of how I jack up the rear of the car. This uses the official jacking points and you can lift the car before you take off the rear tray. I have drilled a couple of holes in the wood to locate onto the bolt heads

A gravel driveway is alweays painful... :shock:

Where have you put the axle stands? I use the ends of the chassis rails about 6" up from the lower rails. Is this a bad idea? Seems to work ok (but miss the brake lines!)

Really painful.
Got a nice bit of shag pile for lying on. Will have a new house soon (hopefully) with 2 garages so not too bothered anymore.

I put the axle stands as far back as possible on the mid jacking points. I havn't had any balance issues either.
