Or are you meaning the A048.....similar to the Toyo 888's?

No mate it was definitely AD-08's on one of them i'm sure. it was a dark grey elise. They are very similar in design to the hankook RS2's which i also seen on saturday. 99% sure it was AD08's i seen :?

Could well of been then mate. The only reason i questioned it was because i know Corbie was looking for them for French Frolics this year. He ended up on Bridgestones re070's which he was pretty impressed with. You got re070's on the now?

I would avoid RS2's, had them on the S2k last Frolics

Think the only 2 dark grey elises on Sat were myself and Wheelie. I am on AD07s and pretty sure Dave/Wheelie is too. :? They do look reasonably similar though:

Yup - AD07s here too.
Have had one set of fronts and a couple of sets of rears from Murrays
175/55R16 80W ADVAN Neova (AD07 LTS) F
225/45R17 91W ADVAN Neova (AD07 LTS) R

Simon - not sure what sizes you need.
What are the advantages of the AD08 over the 7 ?

Cheers
Dave

Just like the AD07 but 1 better
Read this on the web "The new tyre AD08 was tested to be 0.711s per lap quicker (best lap) in dry conditions than the old AD07 at the Tsukuba circuit using an Evo X (2008 model)".

Stick me down for a set of 4, could become the ultimate scottish based Elise tyre for our climate :thumbsup

Road and Track Review
The new tire improves dry grip, wet grip and mileage. It's street civil, but track approved. For the performance inclined, the AD08 improves on the AD07's lap times, by a half second for every minute, says Yokohama. The improvements are achieved with a new micro silica compound, steel sidewall inserts and revised tread pattern. The result is quicker steering response, improved stability and a larger contact patch while cornering.
For evaluation purposes, Yokohama fitted the new tires on a variety of street cars for a group of journalists to evaluate. In a wet and dry autocross in a Mazda RX-8, the AD08 proved to be better tire than the AD07. Not only was the steering precision of the already sharp RX-8 increased, but it's improved wet traction gave greater control and stopping ability. The AD08 was the clear winner in lap times over the AD07, in both the dry and damp conditions, but most notably in the slippery wet.
