Parts required for a "B" service?

I am hoping to undertake a DIY B service this week. I am also taking my S1 into MMC to get them look at the floor tomorrow.
Are there any parts I should be buying from them with regards to the service or can all parts be bought cheaper elsewhere?
I will probably get the oil at CostCo when I am in Edinburgh, but what about plugs and an oil filter? I have a K & N panel filter so that's not a problem.
Will also need to get 2 rear tyres this week. Is MMC a reasonable choice for tyres?
