Probably cheaper just buying a new unit, rather than trying to replace a face off a discontinued one...

Have a search on 'tinternet as there's some good stuff about. Easy enough to replace too, they are all on universal plugs now.

No shame JJ, no shame ;)

Have you actually profited from the 6month-ish ownership of your S1 yet?

Get one that has in built flash or a jack for an mp3 player.

Sony have just launched one that has 1Gb flash built in to the face plate :D

The advent of MP3 players has made it easier to take your current favourite music collection with you wherever you go, except if you’re driving! Listening to a wide selection of PC-stored music in your car involves taking time to burn tracks onto CDs, labelling them up and remembering to take the discs wherever you go. It’s a real drag…

The arrival of the MEX-1GP GIGA panel in-car sound system makes the experience much simpler. That’s because the MEX-1GP GIGA panel is a CD and MP3 player for people who like to listen to PC based music wherever they go. The removable front panel features a USB port, allowing you to take it out of your car stereo system and hook it up to your PC with the cable supplied.

Then all you have to do is choose the music files from your PC, then ‘drag and drop’ them onto the GIGA panel,- just like any other MP3 player. Once you’ve done that, re-attach it in your dashboard and away you go…

Easy-on-the-eye and easy-on-the-earThe GIGA panel has an outstanding 1GB Flash memory allowing you to store and play up to 500 tracks recorded at 64kbps – more than enough for most journeys.

Cutting-edge design with clear blue illumination that lets you easily peruse the title, album name and artist tags, so you can reach 0 to 500 tracks in no time at all!

The sound of CDs is enhanced by a 24-bit DAC converter, whilst BBE MP sound enhancement optimises your MP3, WMA and ATRAC 3 PLUS tracks. With the EQ3 stage2 equalizer you can further enhance the sound environment within your vehicle. Whether you’re listening to Beyoncé or Beethoven, the sound quality is excellent – even with background road noise!
