picked up the wifes s2 elise today.
all appears well and the 420 mile drive home was more comfortable than expected.
however the heater control knob that should turn from hot to cold is rock solid.
is this common ? what does the knob control ? is it just a flap ?
how do i get into it to sort the problem
wife loves the car

If its an early S2 ( I assume) they are cable operated . You may just need to lubricate your flap.
If the cable is seized I am not sure how you get into it . The manual says you need to remove the facia top ???? Hopefully someone who has done it will be able to explain better .
You have a PM .

I didn't think any S2 was cable operated - I thought that my original S2 (X reg) had a cable operated system when the switch was too tough to turn ... but then there were no cables ... or am I dreaming all this - was a long time ago!
Cheers,
Robin
