As far as I know there is only Jenvey DHTB's. All the others need a manifold of some description. Even if you buy QED's or the like they are re-badged Jenvey's. The other TB's are the ones fitted to the exige, think these are KV6 TB's but not sure.

Two types of Jenveys, one for the standard head and one for the VVC head. To do with clearance, but I have the standard ones fitted to a VVC head and no real issues.

If you want the whole setup then Bernard Scouse is the man to contact for the airbox side, and Jenvey for the T/B's, but personally I would get the complete kit from Geary which includes everything you need.

There are also the Titan TBs as sold by PTP (at least, they used to sell them, not sure if they still do).

The jenveys are arguably the most commonly used.

The 42mm type are the ones you want - you need to match the ports to the head, otherwise you'll have a step in the intake path, which is bad.

That said, what you really want is a bigger valve head - I think you've got KR1 spec at present? You probably want something with VVC or bigger sized valves. TBs can be bolted on and do make a difference, but nothing like the difference the big valves make, IMHO.

You can run a big valve head on a PLASTIC plenum with some small mods to airbox, some hotter high lift, moderate duration cams and a good exhaust manifold at 170BHP. This is more than enough for your standard bottom end.

I think DVA is amongst the cheapest source for the 42mm jenveys ... http://www.dvapower.com ... maybe you can buy cheaper elsewhere? Don't know.

Cheers,
Robin

If you can hold out until the end of July when I'll next be getting home, I will be willing to sell on the stuff I bought off tut not so long ago. Basically a set of luminition TB's (jenveys) with a luminition airbox. I'm going for a honda engine this year so the rover bits I've collected will be getting sold off.

Long trumpets for more midrange torque. Should go nice with that old head of yours

I remember when the two of them were developing the different length trumpets, they spent many hours on Dave Walkers R/R. Bernard kept the final details under his hat, and as far as I am aware he never offered them for sale, but Steve would have used them.

With your set up the motorsport airbox won't make that much of difference. If you look at the power figures on Bernards site you would probably be better off with the standard airbox and 45 or 90mm trumpets.
Steve's car was cosiderably higher tuned than yours and would therefore benifit from the tuned trumpet length. Not convinced it's worth the extra £120 + vat price difference TBH.

Absolutely, they were developed for 220hp+ engines so no gain in the 165 bracket.
